A review of 17 different studies that followed a total of 1,141 obese patients on low-carb eating plans — some were similar to the Atkins diet — found that dieters lost an average of almost 18 pounds in six months to a year.

Low-carb diets slow prostate tumours
Eating fewer carbohydrates, like breads, chips and cakes, may slow tumour growth in patients suffering from prostate cancer, finds a new study on mice. The thinking is that consuming fewers carbs lowers the levels of insulin in the bloodstream, which feeds growing cancer cells. The findings are published in the Nov. 13 online edition of the journal Prostate.

Trying to get back in the swing of things. I have started eating right and actually enjoy low carb food so much better than anything else. I dont wake up first thing in the morning hungry anymore.( of course I still need my coffee)
