I wish your wife all the best with her Weight Watchers endeavour. Sometimes I does work for people, depends on their bodies I guess. :)

As to the lc faux-foods, I have that issue too. Are you having them later in the day? That's what it looks like. Maybe there's an issue about your energy at that time of day that needs to be addressed first? What do you think?

Paul, I think you are doing very well. My philosophy is that if the carbs are low and it doesn't contain sugar alcohols, it's fair game. I try to eat mostly real food too, but I don't avoid the packaged things like the plague ... I just view them as another tool to make a life out of this and not just a temporary diet. So far so good!

I think you're doing pretty darn well, Paul.

But, I'll agree with you and Erika & October ... LC faux-foods are probably best used in moderation - at most.

Keep on going strong! I'm so happy to see you doing better!

re: your girlfriend

Nothing convinces people of the merit of a diet (or anything) better than a good example. If you do well on a LC diet ... she'll see it's worth.

Well I can't say that for sure, you would know better than me. It could be that you're having stimulus throughout the day (eg. coffee) which gives you a buzz but it doesn't work so strongly later on. Or maybe it's boredom eating. Or maybe it's because you're mind is racing around thinking about life happenings.

Or it could be something else altogether.

Personally, it's boredom eating mainly that's my reason for eating easy-to-grab/pre-packaged foods later in the day/evening.

Does any of that ring true for you?
